Post Deadline Release #BER e-13 in 800G LPO

Shanghai, Apr.01, 2025 – SiLUX Technologies Inc. (“SiLUX”), the designer and developer of silicon Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) and optical engines for the data center and telecommunication markets, today announced that a live demonstration of its 800G optical engine will take place together with Semtech (Booth #1028) in OSFP800 form factor during the upcoming OFC’25 Conference in San Francisco, CA from Apr.01 – Apr. 03, 2025.
The 800G linear-drive pluggable optics (LPO) demoed by Semtech are integrated with SiLUX’s novel high performance silicon photonics (SiPho) optical engine, which incorporates SilUX’s Silicon Photonic Modulator PIC with two continuous wave (CW) lasers that each supports four lanes. The 800G Sipho Modulator PIC monolithically integrates multiple modulators, splitters, MPD, waveguides and coupling structures, enabling high-speed modulation of light operating at 100Gb/s PAM4 signaling for data transmission.
These modules have been put in different slots to validate performance. Overall results exceed the optical interface specifications of IEEE P802.3df D2.0 for 800GBASE-DR8 significantly, especially very good BER even in long port e-11@16dB system loss and e-13@8dB system loss.
